Hi, I recently had this issue with Sonic's RecordNow 7. I never did get it to work with a Clean Install of Win 10, but it works perfectly after a upgrade from Win 7 to Win 10. I can only think that it is related to Permissions for the drives, but gave up on it after multiple attempts. The only thing I can suggest is to reinstall it differently as far as USERS are concerned. If it was installed for All Users, try 'Just Me', or whatever the term.
You could also try installing or running it in Compatibility Mode for Win 7. Right click on the Installer Setup, or the programs.exe and select Properties. Click the Compatibility Tab and the Compatibility Mode box, then Win 7 from the menu. When the issue is with CD DVD drives, installing something called PxEngine 4.18.16a usually resolves the problem.
