  • Aug 4, 2013 - Jason Sudeikis, Jason Bateman, Ed Helms and Will Forte aren't in Mumford & Sons, but they play the group in the band's new video for “Hopeless Wanderer.” The clip for Mumford & Sons' latest single off the 2012 album “Babel” features the four funnymen as arch versions of Marcus Mumford (Sudeikis),.

The actor said he first met Jones while shooting the promotional poster for 'We're the Millers.' 'He shot this poster and that's where we met and I was a big fan of him for years and years as a documentarian and photographer and then a couple months later, or weeks later, he was like, 'Hey, I have this idea for Mumford & Sons. They want me to direct a video. Do you want to play Marcus?' And I was like, 'Yeah,' Sudeikis added. 'Then we called Jason and Will and Ed, got them into it really quick.' 'I'm so flattered.

We're all like, you know, on an email chain just bemused and delighted by the fact that people are enjoying it,' he said. 'I mean, I love that band. Those guys have incredible talent and great souls so it's fun to be connected with them in any way and not just as a person who goes to see their concerts now.' The video for 'Hopeless Wanderer,' which can be viewed below, premiered on Monday, Aug.

In it, the actors are dressed like Mumford & Sons, donning vests, suspenders, denim and dress shirts rolled up at the elbow. The actors also pretend to play instruments as they lip-sync along to the track. Sudeikis passionately lip-syncs to Marcus Mumford's vocals. At one point Sudeikis kisses Forte and Bateman licks the tears he wiped off from Forte's face with his finger. Later on in the video, the four actors play banjos dressed in barbershop quartet costumes. Check out the video for 'Hopeless Wanderer' below. Reporting by George Pennacchio of KABC Television, which produces the entertainment show 'On The Red Carpet'.
