Essbase Excel Add In 11.1 2.2
Recently I have been installing patches for a handful of clients and found that I was duplicating research of thse patches for each of the versions of the software. Currently, I have comprised a list of patches by product and version for the more popular products for versions 11.1.2.0, 11.1.2.1, and 11.1.2.2 to simplify the research in the future. This is is certainly subject to change as Oracle is constantly providing updates for current releases of the EPM products.
Essbase Toolbar For Excel
A lot of people use the Essbase Excel add-in but don't really know all of the rules of how it detects Essbase members on the worksheet u. Essbase 11.1.2.1 Installation Notes I now have the Essbase 11.1.2.1 stack, including Essbase/Foundation Services/Provider Services/EAS/EIS on my new 64-bit Windows 7 laptop. Is there any documents that says Essbase Excel addin is not supported in verion 11.1.2.4. Thanks in Advance.
The next time I have to research patches for a particular release, I will start by updating this list then move forward with formulating a recommendation to the client. This may be an obvious approach to some of you kind enough to give this article a second glance but I had to repeat the process a few times before I figured it out. I’m quick to catch on no matter how long it takes. I have included a list of prerequisite patches for each that may help reduce the amount of work you have to do when researching patches. I will not even attempt to detail why you would want to apply any of these patches. The readme file for each patch provides details regarding bug fixes and new functionality. As a disclaimer, I only recommend applying patches to resolve issues that have been encountered or expected, as well as to take advantage of new functionality.
'Hi, I was trying to retrieve data from Essbase (EPM System 11.1.2.2) through SmartView (version 11.1.2.2) to test out the new SmartView features/functionalities and I kept getting some unknown dimensions error and my Excel 2010 shut down. But when I tried to recover the Excel file and that's when I discovered that the SmartView menu disappeared on me. I had read some blogs to just copy soem of the SmartView Add-in files from the SMartView/Bin to my user Microsoft/Add-in folder but still was able to see it. I can it in the Add-in options but tried repeated to add the SmartView add-in didn't work.
Do I need to install SmartView and re-install again? But all the files are there, just that I couldn't add the add-in onto the menu.
